About Jewish School & Camp of the Arts
The Jewish School and Camp of the Arts is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to provide a fun, warm, Jewish atmosphere for children who may not have any other way to connect to their Jewish heritage.
We offer multiple programs for various ages. From mommy and me, to afterschool combined with Hebrew school, to camp days when schools are closed, to summer camps, to Bar and Bat Mitzva lessons, to CIT and counselor programs, to holiday events and programs, and more, there is truly something for everyone!
About Our Staff
The Jewish Camp of the Arts prides itself with its exceptional staff. All staff come with prior camp experience and a desire to work with kids. In addition there are Junior Counselors to help. Each elective is run by a professional instructor. The Jewish Camp of the Arts is under the able direction of Mrs. Chani Ezagui, who has years of camping experience as a counselor, head counselor and director. Mrs. Ezagui focusses on creating a nurturing environment to bring out the best in our staff and children. The real secret to our success lies in our outstanding staff. Our counselors are warm personal and known for their ability to care for each child as an individual. Many staff members return year after year, lending experience and continuity to all programs. Each counselor is a role model for our children, promising them friendship which will last forever. Their love for the children is perhaps surpassed only by the children’s love for them.
The Jewish School of the Arts is proud to offer afterschool combined with Hebrew school Monday through Friday.
Current thinking in the field of early childhood education echoes a statement by King Solomon, found in the Book of Proverbs:
“Educate a child in his way, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Campers enjoy a wide range of exciting activities and crafts in a warm and spirited atmosphere at the Jewish Camp of the Arts. JCA Camp Director, Mrs. Chani Ezagui, has years of camping experience as a counselor, head counselor and director and focusses on creating a nurturing environment to bring out the best in our staff and children. The real secret to our success lies in our outstanding staff. We hire counselors and staff members who are experienced, responsible, and caring. Each counselor is a role model for the campers, offering camaraderie, leadership and inspiration. The Jewish Camp of the Arts program schedule is full of exciting activities including art, sports, music and movement, swimming, clay creations, canvas art, scrapbooking and junior chefs experience as well as mad science, beauty spa, creative arts, giant gaming, and more! We also go on weekly trips and this year’s fun-filled activities and adventures include going to Sailfish Splash Park, Cock-a-Doodle-Doo Petting Zoo, Picasso’s Studio, Slime Factory, Urban Adventures, Mini-Golf, and Under Blue Waters. Your camper is sure to have the time of their life!
